Summary
Petal & Paper does not collect, store or transmit any personal data to the provider or to third parties. The app contains no ads, no analytics or tracking tools and no third-party libraries for data collection. It does not access the internet, needs no sign-in and no user account, and uses no server of our own.
What is stored on your device
Your game progress (for example thaler, flowers, furnishings, garden and diary pages you have read, with automatic backups) and your settings (sound, music, haptics, reduce motion, language) are stored only locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Your progress is not synced via iCloud or any other service. You delete progress and settings by choosing “New game” in the game settings or by deleting the app.
Internet connection
The app opens no connections to the internet and needs none. It contains no web view and no links to websites.
Permissions and identifiers
The app asks for no permissions (no camera, microphone, photos, location, contacts or notifications). It does not read any advertising or device identifier and uses no tracking as defined by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency.
Sharing with third parties
No data is shared, because none is collected.
Purchase through the App Store
Downloading and, where applicable, buying the app is handled by Apple’s App Store (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/). Payment data is processed by Apple only; we receive no payment data and no information about you. The app contains no in-app purchases.
Crash reports from Apple
If you allowed sharing analytics with developers in iOS, or if you test via TestFlight, Apple may provide us with crash reports. These reports come from Apple, not from the app, and contain no information about you personally. The app itself sends nothing.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children. It has no ads, no chat, no text input, no purchases and no links to the internet.
Your rights
As we process no personal data, we store nothing we could give you information about. You have the rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection and complaint to a supervisory authority). You delete your local progress yourself (see above). For data Apple processes for the App Store, please contact Apple.
Changes
We update this policy when the app changes, for example with a new feature with internet access, and we do so before the feature is released. The current version is always available at this address.
